Script for 'Glitch'

Right!  Now that my script and storyboard are finished-ish, I've finally decided to make a blog.  Like it says in the description, this blog is mainly for the animation for my degree, although I will post other things that are vaguely related and anything else that catches my interest.  (There are also other things I mean to post later on, such as other scripts and ideas that came before this one).  So here it is, the start of 'Glitch' production!

EDIT: I forgot to mention that this is a trailer animation for 'Glitch'.

 (Of course the script and storyboards aren't final, especially how they don't match up 100% due to changes suggested in a production meeting.  However, this will be remedied as the animation progresses.)

SCRIPT:
Black screen with dialogue,

"[Untitled] GAME BETA
CHARACTER TEST: 00108

CHARACTERS: 2
MOVE PARAMETERS: [A.I. BETA]"
FADE IN
to black expanse with a transparent interface overlay.  Text appears in the top left,

"//:OPEN 'BATTLE SIMULATION' 
LOADING 'ENVIROMENT'
LOADING 'MODELS'
INSTALLING A.I. PROGRAM
LOADING 'BATTLE' PARAMETERS 
COMPLETE..." 

PAN & ZOOM
still with the interface overlay, into a mid-view shot of the 2 characters facing eachother, both in fighting stances.  Various 'game-style' props fade into view around them.  The text on the interface then displays,

"//:INITIATE" 
FADE TO BLACK
More dialogue appears,

"[Untitled] GAME BETA
CHARACTER TEST: 00108

CHARACTERS: 2
MOVE PARAMETERS: [A.I. BETA]
.
.
.
RESULTS:
..."


The interface then fades and a disembodied, deep, booming voice dramatically announces, 

DISEMBODIED VOICE:
"3... 2... 1... FIGHT!" 

The 2 characters then start to fight like a typical beat'em up game; a couple of punch combos from the FEMALE, a low kick then a high kick from the LIZARDMAN, followed by a jump/punch.  The FEMALE Cyborg rolls back and gets up and they both stand still.
The interface partially reappears, momentarily, with red text,

"ERROR: 'SIMULATION' IS NOT RESPONDING.
ATTEMPTING TO REGAIN CONTROL OF A.I. COMBATANTS..."  

CUT TO
mid-range shot.  Camera zooms in as characters close in to each other.   
FADE TO BLACK
TEXT,

"[Untitled] GAME BETA
CHARACTER TEST: 00108

CHARACTERS: 2
MOVE PARAMETERS: [A.I. BETA]

.
.
RESULTS:
UNCONCLUSIVE: PROGRAM IS NOT RESPONDING..."


CUT TO
waist-high shot, angled upwards to see the LIZARDMAN overhead swing punch his right hand/claw.   
PAN DOWN
as he smashes it into the ground.  The FEMALE CYBORG side steps to her right.   
Pan & Zoom TO
front-view of waist up of FEMALE, she then attempts to punch his face. 
CUT TO
close up of her hand, but he grabs her arm with his right hand
CUT TO
waist up shot of both characters as he flings her away,  
PAN RIGHT
to view of her being thrown, whilst he turns to face her.  
FADE TO BLACK

TEXT,

side view of her back where a futuristic, long, white cannon/gun shifts from it,

close up of arm as the gun rotates to the same angle as her arm and encases it from the elbow down.   
CUT TO
3/4-full body-shot of LIZARDMAN.  Eyes glowing yellow, he partially out-stretches his arms, leans back a bit and starts to scream. 
"AAAAARRRRRRR..."
CUT TO
3/4 FULL VIEW of FEMALE CHARACTER shooting multiple shots in multiple directions.
  CUT TO
MID-SHOT of LIZARDMAN as he's lying on the floor with the FEMALE CHARACTER sitting on him. She attempts to punch his face.
PAN
to LIZARDMAN's head as he opens his mouth and snaps it shut around her hand.   
CUT TO
view of her.  Her head reels back in pain.
CUT & ZOOM INTO
LIZARDMAN's head and fists back in the 'yellow eyes' shot, as he slams his fists into the ground, still screaming. Causing the ground to rumble then split open before him.  He stays still, fists still on the ground, as the crack widens and spreads towards the FEMALE.
TRACK SHOT
of Ground Fissure as it splits aiming towards FEMALE.  She jumps and flys over the crack and towards LIZARDMAN.
CUT TO
Long-Shot of whole scene with the characters at the focus.  After a moment, a disembodied, computerised/robotic female voice fills the enviroment speaking. 

Voice: "Warning, control of simulation lost.  Activating countermeasures.  Anti-Virus scanning.  Fire-Wall now on."

A wall of fire materialises and spews out out of thin air, encircling the 2 characters.  A horrible buzzing-swarm sound fills the air.   
"[Sound of anti-virus swarm buzzing]"
CUT TO
vertical split view of both characters looking around.
FADE TO BLACK
TEXT,

"[Untitled] GAME BETA
CHARACTER TEST: 00108

CHARACTERS: 2

CUT TO
to close-mid shot of characters heads to torso, looking away from the camera towards above the fire.  In the distance a swarm of claw-like creatures emerge into view from the distance.

Close up shot of a single Anti-Virus.
CUT TO
long shot of whole scene with firewall and ground fissure, LIZARDMAN is clutching onto the FEMALE CYBORG's legs as she attempts to fly up and away from the swarm.
ZOOM IN
As the swarm envelops them.
CUT TO BLUE SCREEN OF DEATH
[ROLL CREDITS]
